THE LOVEJOY FOUNDATION ADOPTION EVENT: MEET HARMONY
Where and when: Church of Christ, 1063 Aviation Blvd., Hermosa Beach; Saturday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Why go: Harmony, the deaf puppy stolen from her owner's car in the Manhattan Village parking lot on Dec. 27, will make an appearance sometime during the day to thank all who've supported her, as well as for hugs and kisses. Harmony was found in Lennox and returned to her owners.

Why go: Arts Manhattan, a nonprofit organization devoted to making art accessible to everyone, is holding a cocktail reception, artist talk and dinner reception in honor of South African-born artist Myrna Katz.
