Adam Gerard
A Manhattan Beach native, I am currently a Mira Costa freshman, and am proud to be a Mustang. At Mira Costa, I am a member of the freshman Cross Country and Track teams. One of my passions is the environment, and I have participated in many events and programs dealing with the environment. I am President of a local youth-led nonprofit, Tree Musketeers. With Tree Musketeers I have given numerous interviews, speeches, and classes.  Also, I am a member of Manhattan Beach's Environmental Task Force. I currently serve on the subcommittee for the city's Climate Action Plan. I have also participated in the City of Los Angeles' Environmental Youth Conference for the last two years. I have a very supportive family, including my parents who are always there for me, and two very accommodating twin sisters. I enjoy running, passing time with my friends, playing basketball, following local and national politics, biking, and the occasional video game. I am honored to be a part of Patch's Manhattan Beach team, and give the student's perspective on our city's issues.
