Allisen Patel, Neighbor

I grew up in Manhattan Beach and have two kids in MB elementary schools.  I'm passionate about my family, photography and giving to those in need.  A few years ago I started sending used clothing, toys and leftover Halloween candy to poor children in the Philippines.  This year I've started a charity called Stuff4Joy to be able to ship even more items.  The charity is named after my mother Joy, who died from pancreatic cancer at the age of 59.  I love the idea of having a charity that anyone can participate in, especially kids.  They can donate their toys or their candy and feel like they're making a difference.  I've been given more than I ever could have dreamed of.  It's great to give some of that back.
