Volunteer Organizer of the Hermosa Beach Blood Drive.
As a blood donor since 1994,  I wanted to donate blood in my city of residence and be able to do it on a regular basis.  After the first Hermosa Beach Blood drive in June 2010,  I received a very positive response from blood donors who wanted to give blood right here in Hermosa.   E-mail notifications of future drives makes it convenient for planning purposes.  Our blood drives are unique ; local businesses have shown their support by donating products and services for blood donors.  To date, Paciugo Gelato and Caffe, The Comedy & Magic Club,  Skinny Minny's Frozen Yogurt, The Pita Pit , Fritto Misto, El Pollo Inka and The Hermosa Beach Car Wash have participated in our blood drives.   Whole Foods, Trader Joe's , and Fresh and Easy Market have contributed healthy snacks and refreshments,  typically supplied by the hospital.  Our posters are designed by my brother, Francis.
