What's Up: MBEF Pledge Day, Bike, Skateboard Expo, Mustangs vs. Sea Hawks

Bike and Skateboard Show and Safety Expo promises to be a fun way to check out the latest in bikes, boards, gear and safety.

Here are five things for your Thursday and beyond in Manhattan Beach:  

  1. Get your tickets now for "The Crucible," on stage Thursday at 6:30 p.m., Friday at 7:30 p.m. and Saturday at 2 and 7:30 p.m. in the auditorium of Mira Costa High School. Drama students opened the production last weekend and conclude it this Saturday. Read the review here.
  2. Thursday is Pledge Day for the Manhattan Beach Education Foundation. Here's where you can make a donation.

  4. The Mira Costa Mustangs will host the Redondo Union High School Sea Hawks in a varsity football clash between the two cross-town longtime rivals Friday beginning at 7 p.m. in Waller Stadium.
  5. The 13th Annual Bike and Skateboard Show and Safety Expo is set for Saturday from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. The free event will be held at Manhattan Beach Middle School on the basketball courts.Details here.
