Credit Card Stolen at Trader Joes Used to Make Large Purchase

Police hope the public can help identify the suspect.

Police are asking for the public's help identifying a man who purchased more than $1,300 worth of Apple iPads with a credit card he'd just stolen from a shopper at the Trader Joes on Rosecrans Avenue in Manhattan Beach.

The incident happened around 4 p.m. on June 9 at Trader Joes, 1800 Roscerans Avenue when a wallet was stolen, said the Manhattan Beach Police Department. About 12 minutes later, the suspect bought the iPads at Target, 1200 N. Sepulveda Blvd., Manhattan Beach.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic male, 25- to 35-years-old, 5’10” to 6' tall with a medium build. He was last seen wearing a grey shirt, black pants and a baseball hat.
