Join Manhattan Beach Police Staff for 'Coffee with a Cop'

The casual, "walk-in" format gives residents the chance to meet officers in their city's police department as well as ask questions.

The Manhattan Beach Police Department will host its popular “Coffee with a Cop” event on Thursday, Aug. 29 from 8 to 10 a.m. at the Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf, 3008 North Sepulveda Boulevard in Manhattan Village. The community-based program is designed to bring residents and police officers together for a casual meet-and-greet and includes free coffee.

Manhattan Beach residents are invited to show up anytime between 8 and 10 a.m. to discuss concerns, ask questions regarding police procedures or share suggestions. Police staff from divisions such as motor, patrol, detective and parking enforcement will be on hand to give hear what community members have to say. The event allows the public to meet members of their police department and form partnerships to address concerns and problem solve, according to a press release.

Reservations are not needed; simply “walk-in” and join the group.
