Crest Drive Burglary Suspects Seen Wearing Surgical Masks

The two men were captured by video surveillance cameras in the area.

Manhattan Beach police are looking for two "subjects" captured by surveillance cameras the day a residential burglary occurred in the 700 block of Crest Drive.

The two men are believed to be responsible for the burglary on August 18 and are seen wearing surgical masks, walking from the location, one of them carrying a black plastic trash bag, which appeared to be filled with unknown items, said Stephanie Martin of the Manhattan Beach Police Department Thursday.

One suspect is described as a white or Hispanic male, 25- to 30-years old, 5’5"-5’7" with a slim build and wearing black capri-type pants, a black sleeveless shirt with white stripes and a black hat. He is the man seen later wearing a surgical mask and carrying a trash bag.

The second suspect is described as a white or Hispanic male, 40+ years of age, 5’8"-5’10" with a medium build and wearing black pants, a black T-shirt, light-colored hat, black gloves and surgical mask.

The burglary happened sometime after 12:30 p.m. when the resident left. Upon returning that evening, they discovered their front door had been pried open and the home ransacked. Items stolen included jewelry and cash.

The images of the suspects were captured between 3 and 3:30 p.m. the day of the burglary.

Anyone with information regarding this crime or the suspects, should call Det. Shawn Thompson at (310) 802-5124.
