Expo Captures Fun in Science

Hands-on exhibits prove to be a winning formula at Grand View Elementary's 7th annual Science Expo.

The classrooms of Grand View Elementary transformed into interactive exhibits Wednesday for another fun-filled Science Expo.

Students got to operate robots, observe a 3D solar system and meet experts in various fields. Exhibitors included the Discovery Science Center, PhD students from the UCLA Cotsen Institute of Archeology, a bug expert and other scientists with a knack for making science fun.

"It's a great opportunity for kids to experience hands-on what it's like to be a scientist," said Christine Cronin, an expo co-chair.
