Neptunians Increase Mira Costa Scholarships to $42,000

Due to the success of its fundraising activities, the Neptunian Woman’s Club of Manhattan Beach has increased the amount of scholarship money it gives to Mira Costa High School students from $24,000 to $42,000. Last year the organization gave eight scholarships of $3000 each and this year it awarded twelve scholarships of $3500 each.

One scholarship, given to Brennan Danlasky, is for music and one, given to Carina Chong, is for art. The rest are for outstanding scholarship and are given to Milo Davis, Amy Fitzgerald, Madison Lanting, Elias McGregor-Seaman, Kate Scandura, Nicholas Sciacqua, Lia Sepanek, Zachary Teitelbaum, Shaun Whong, and Jasmine Williams.

The scholarships were presented by Elaine Trotter, President of the Neptunians, and Janet Fleming, Vice President of Philanthropies. The Neptunians, in their 105 years of existence, have always been a major force in improving the quality of life in Manhattan Beach and surrounding communities.
