A planned book signing event for the author of Christian Bale: The Inside Story of the Darkest Batman will take place as planned, according to a manager at in Manhattan Beach.
Author Harrison Cheung, Bale's former publicist and assistant, will be on hand beginning at 11 a.m. today at the 1800 Rosecrans Avenue store. His book "shares an inside look into the little-known personal life of the intensely private and reclusive actor," according to information on the Barnes & Noble website.
The store does not plan to take any additional security precautions in light of the massacre that took place early this morning at a midnight screening of Bale's new film, "The Dark Knight Rises," in Aurora, CO, according to a manager.
