Foodies can treat themselves to Italian cuisine, Greek flavors and a taste of India here in the South Bay. If you're craving some exotic flavors, Patch has gathered a list of four ethnic restaurants to try in the area:

Ocean Tava

Hidden in the small shopping center at 1212 Pacific Coast Highway in Redondo Beach,  brings  to the South Bay. The authentic dishes—from chicken tikka masala to Reshmi chicken kebab—can add spice to your summer.

Mediterraneo

 on Pier Plaza in Hermosa Beach serves up an array of exotic tastes: Spanish, Italian, Greek and French. Chef Amber Caudle's innovative menu mixes Mediterranean influences into the restaurant's eclectic blend of European dishes.

Thai Dishes 

The authentic Thai restaurant, Thai Dishes, 1015 N. Sepulveda Blvd., Manhattan Beach, can . Chefs and brothers Anant and Manus Kumtong draw inspiration for the restaurant's menu from their mother's cooking, according to the restaurant's website.

Red Onion

The  at 736 Silver Spur Road, which offers authentic Sonora-style Mexican cuisine, has been a part of the Palos Verdes Peninsula since 1963. The restaurant's main dish entrees have been around for more than 100 years; owner Jeff Earle  that the recipes were passed down from his great grandmother Catalina Castillo.
