Time Warner vaults to be replaced on The Strand

Time Warner Cable will be making repairs to surface vaults on The Strand commencing Tuesday, September 3rd.  The work will begin at the north end near 45th Street and is expected to take approximately 15 working days.  The work will be completed in time to prevent any conflicts with the Hometown 10K Run.   The project consists of removing surrounding concrete, replacing vaults, and restoration of reinforcing steel and concrete. Time Warner will be hand delivering notices with contact information to residents adjacent to the repairs and the work will be under the supervision of Street Division staff.  City staff will ensure that any contract service providers (waste hauler, street sweeper, landscapers) are notified to prevent any disruption of service.  Time Warner has made identical repairs in the past and will make accommodations as necessary to minimize inconvenience to the public.  Please contact the City Manager's office for more info; (310) 802-5053 Best regards, Dave Carmany
