Free Forum on Affordable Care Act Tuesday

A medical panel will answer questions and provide insight into the new guidelines.

Four medical experts will answer questions and provide insight on the new guidelines of the Affordable Care Act (ObamaCare) Tuesday, 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the Joslyn Community Center, 1601 Valley Drive.  

Open to the public at no charge, the Affordable Care Act (ObamaCare) Forum is an education and information session to provide details on the changes and how the act will affect you and your health.

The forum will be moderated by Dr. Lisa Santora, chief medical officer, Beach Cities Health District. Panelists include: Dr. Gerald  Kominski, director, UCLA Center for Health Policy Research; Robin Camrin, vice president, Medical Staff Services/Performance Improvement, Torrance Memorial Medical Center; Dr. Romilla Batra, vice president and medical director, SCAN Health Plan, and Dr. Barbara Carnes, medical director, Kaiser South Bay Medical Center.

The League of Women Voters of the Beach Cities is co-sponsoring the forum with the Beach Cities Health District, MB Senior Citizens Resources Committee and the City of Manhattan Beach Older Adults Program.
