Still Time to Treat Mom Right

In need of some last-minute, local Mother's Day meal options? Look no further.

The following is a brief list of restaurants offering Mother's Day specials that still had availability as of mid-afternoon Tuesday, May 4. Party size was limited in some cases.

Il Fornaio offers an Italian twist to Mother's Day brunch and features a Campania Festa dinner menu. A full bar complements an extensive menu. Groups of all sizes are welcome, though online reservations through OpenTable showed only parties of two available for this Sunday. Perfect if it's just you and mom.

Tin Roof Bistro is offering a Mother's Day two-course pre-fixe brunch and lunch menu at $18 per person and $9 per child (age 9 and under). The restaurant is featuring a flower garden from which kids can "Make Mom Her Own Bouquet." Staff recommendation for mom: Crab Cake Benedict.

Twelve + Highland serves its contemporary American cuisine for the casual, coastal set, and its sleek design is an attractive downtown option for the modern mom. The staff recommends the Apple Tart as a tasty conclusion to Mother's Day brunch.
