Time Running Out to Request Vote-by-Mail Ballots

Manhattan Beach residents will cast votes to elect three candidates to the city's public school district's board of trustees on Nov. 5.

Manhattan Beach residents who wish to vote by mail in the Nov. 5 election have until Tuesday to request their ballot, according to the Los Angeles County Registrar-Recorder and County Clerk.

Manhattan Beach voters will elect three candidates to available seats on the board of trustees for the Manhattan Beach Unified School District. Four candidates, Jennifer Cochran, Christine Cronin-Hurst, Kathleen Paralusz and Ellen Rosenberg, are running.

As of last week, the RR/CC had mailed nearly 550,000 vote-by-mail ballots to more than 30 percent of the 1,744,000 eligible registered voters in Los Angeles County.

Vote-by-mail ballots can be requested online at LAVote.net or via the back of the official sample ballot. Ballots can be requested in person at the RR/CC's main office, located in Room 3002 of the third floor at 12400 Imperial Hwy. in Norwalk.

The status of a vote-by-mail ballot can also be checked online.

Vote-by-mail ballots must be received by the RR/CC's office in Norwalk by 8 p.m. Nov. 5. Voters can drop off or mail their ballots to the RR/CC headquarters or drop their ballots off at any polling place in L.A. County on Election Day between 7 a.m. and 8 p.m. Postmarked envelopes will not be accepted.
