Manhattan Beach Holiday Fireworks Event Schedule for Sunday, Dec. 8

The Skechers Snow Park will open at 4 p.m. This holiday fireworks event is a family favorite in Manhattan Beach, year after year.

The 25th Annual Manhattan Beach Holiday Fireworks event on Sunday, Dec. 8 begins at 3:30 p.m. in downtown Manhattan Beach with fireworks set to start at 7 p.m., according to the event's online website.

The afternoon event includes music, a snow park, a community sing-along and bounce park. The Hyperion Outfall Serenaders play at 3:30 p.m. and the snow park and bounce park open at 4 p.m. Canned food, new unwrapped toys and cash donations will be accepted for admission to the snow park, according to the website.

New this year is a community sing-along from 6-7 p.m. with Disney Hall Sing-Along host David Prather and the Mira Costa High School chamber orchestra and vocal ensemble. The "12 Days of Christmas" sing-along will culminate in a "Pop Up and Sing" grand finale.

The chamber orchestra and vocal ensemble will begin to perform at 4:30 p.m.; Mira Costa Cheer will take over at 5 p.m. and the high school jazz band will play beginning at 5:30 p.m.

The event will take place rain or shine "Barring severe weather," according to the website.
