Car Collision Closes Some Lanes on Rosecrans

A female was transported by paramedics to a hospital Friday morning, said Lt. Andy Harrod of the Manhattan Beach Police Department.

A car collided with a tree while heading east on Rosecrans Avenue around 10:13 a.m. Friday, prompting a response by police and fire personnel, said Lieutenant Andy Harrod of the Manhattan Beach Police Department.

The single-car collision happened near Fry's Electronics and Sepulveda Boulevard. The female driver was extricated from the car, which had rolled over after impact and then had the tree collapse onto it, Harrod said. She was transported by paramedics to a hospital.

Some lanes on Rosecrans heading east were closed to allow city crews to cleanup debris and fluids from the car. After the woman was removed from the car, a city crew cut the tree away from the car and the car was flipped back onto its wheels, said Harrod.
