Fearing for her safety, a clerk at Diane's Swimwear makes change for the obviously fake currency.

Manhattan Beach police are hoping someone recognizes a man caught on tape paying for a beach bag with a counterfeit $100 bill.

The incident happened at 8 p.m. March 5 at Diane’s Swimwear, 3292 Sepulveda Blvd., according to a Manhattan Beach Police Department press release.

A man – described as white, around 25 years old, 6 feet tall, weighing 170 pounds, with brown hair, brown eyes and tattoos on his hands – first asked a clerk for assistance in selecting a beach bag, officials said.
