Crime Stats for 2011, 2012

The Daily Breeze newspaper has complied an interactive listing of crime statistics for Manhattan Beach that compares 2012 to 2011.

Robbery and auto theft were the two crimes that increased the most in Manhattan Beach from 2011 to 2012, according to statistics gathered by the Daily Breeze. Burglaries and assaults were down.

The newspaper reported an increase in rape, from 6 in 2011 to 7 in 2012 in MB. There were no homicides in 2011 or 2012.

Overall, crime went up 3.2 percent in MB from 2011 to 2012, according to the newspaper.

Crime in Hermosa Beach increased 11.3 percent and .4 percent in Redondo Beach from 2011 to 2012. Crime in neighbor cities Hawthorne, El Segundo and Lawndale deceased .2 percent, 2.8 percent and 6.4 percent respectively for the same time period.
