Kids Backpack Stolen at Meadows Elementary School
A juvenile's backpack goes missing on school grounds.
A man carrying a stolen backpack was arrested for theft in the 1200 block of North Meadows Avenue on Saturday, Sept. 7, according to the Manhattan Beach Police Department.
The incident began around 5:45 p.m. when a juvenile told officers his backpack had been stolen while he was playing at Meadows Elementary School. A short time later around 6:22 p.m., the boy and his father saw the suspect with the backpack.
The suspect who was arrested was recently discharged from probation for burglary, according to police.
