Manhattan Beach's Bravest Given Their Just Deserts

Children and their parents gather at a local ice cream shop to scoop up a deal in recognition of the city's firefighters.

Indulging their sweet tooth in honor of America's firefighters, residents lined up for "31 Cent Scoop Night" on Wednesday at Baskin-Robbins on Sepulveda Boulevard.

Members of the Manhattan Beach Fire Department were on hand to serve up (and sample) the store's treats.

The Baskin-Robbins Community Foundation is donating $100,000 to the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation and using the promotional event to recognize the service of the nation's firefighters.
