The man is believed to have robbed Walgreens in Manhattan Beach and several other Walgreens and CVS stores. He has been armed and is considered dangerous. Police are asking for your help in identifying and capturing the suspect.

The man police believe demanded cash from a Walgreens store clerk in Manhattan Beach around 6 p.m. on Jan. 12, 2012 is being called armed and dangerous, according to sheriff's department officials who are coordinating the search for the suspect.

Manhattan Beach Police Detective Mike Rosenberger told MB Patch that the black male in his late 30s did not have any accomplices, is 5' 11" to 6' tall, has a medium build and was wearing a white baseball hat, grey sweatshirt and blue jeans.

Late last week, Lt. Kent Wegener of the Major Crimes Bureau of the Los Angeles County Sheriff's said the suspect carries a semi-automatic pistol and should be considered armed and dangerous.

"This is one of the most active armed robbers in Los Angeles County this year," he said. "We are hoping that the public will help us identify him before his violence escalates."

The suspect's most recent robbery took place on Sunday, March 18 at a CVS store in Lomita. The individual is believed to have committed robberies in Walgreens and CVS drug stores in Manhattan Beach, Hermosa Beach, Carson, Torrance, Norwalk and Long Beach since November 2011.
