Police Looking for Woman Who Made Fraudulent Purchase

An unattended purse in a residential area during a grocery unloading goes missing.

The Manhattan Beach Police Department wants the public's help identifying a suspect who fraudulently purchased items at Lowe’s Hardware Improvement located at 2800 W. 120th Street in the City of Hawthorne.

The fraud was set in motion when a woman left her car unattended and unlocked after unloading groceries on June 10 in the 3300 block of Crest Drive. When the woman returned to her vehicle, her purse and its contents were missing from the front seat, said police.

Police are looking for the woman shown in video surveillance making the purchase at Lowe's. She is described as a caucasian female adult, 35-40 years old, 5’7” tall and 145-150 lbs.
