Report of Handgun at Street Fight on New Year's Day

It was a fairly quiet New Year's Eve, New Year's Day for police in Manhattan Beach.

New Year's Eve revelers in Manhattan Beach reportedly took to the street to fight shortly after midnight, one allegedly brandishing a handgun before leaving, according to a police report.

However, when police arrived around 12:56 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 1, no fighting was going on in the 1700 block of 11th St. 

The same day, police arrested a 25-year-old male for disorderly conduct in the 1400 block of Park View around 2:50 a.m.

Another disorderly conduct arrest on Jan. 1 took place in the 1100 block of Duncan Drive, when police detained a 31-year-old male at 3:42 a.m. who was also arrested for resisting arrest.

At 3:53 a.m., a DUI arrest of a 29-year-old male was made at Aviation and Artesia boulevards.

Morning arrest wrapped up at 6:50 a.m. when a 21-year-old male was arrested for disorderly conduct in the 900 block of Manhattan Beach Blvd.
