'Tip-A-Cop' Night at Tin Roof Bistro Thursday

Diners at Tin Roof Bistro in Manhattan Beach are promised "an extra level of service" on Thursday from 5-9 p.m. when law enforcement officers and professional staff from the Manhattan Beach Police Department partner with the restaurant’s staff for a "Tip-A-Cop" fundraiser, according to an MBPD press release.

The event is intended to provide guests with a memorable dining experience and exceptional service while also collecting tips and donations to benefit Special Olympics. One hundred percent of the tips from this event directly benefit local Special Olympics athletes.    

“For many years, law enforcement and Special Olympics have enjoyed a wonderful partnership," said MB Chief of Police Eve Irvine. "This is our way of going above and beyond that relationship by helping to raise public awareness and money for this amazing organization and the incredible athletes who participate.”

All tips are a tax-deductible donation to Special Olympics, according to the press release. Special Olympics provides athletic training and competition for children and adults in the South Bay who have intellectual disabilities.
