Manhattan Beach Collegian Makes Dean's List at York College

The lacrosse player scores in academics.

Sophomore finance major Dakota Randall of Manhattan Beach has been named to the Dean's List at York College of Pennsylvania for the Fall 2013 semester.

To be eligible for the distinction, a student must be registered for at least 12 academic credit hours and earn a semester GPA of 3.50 or higher.

Randall, a graduate of Mira Costa High School in Manhattan Beach, was varsity lacrosse team captain his senior year. He was named a 2012 All-American by the Los Angeles chapter of US Lacrosse, according to their website. The organization noted "Randall led the attack for a young team that finished only 9-11 overall but qualified for the playoffs with a third-place finish in the Bay League. According to stats provided by LAS reader CostaLax22, Randall finished the season with 50 goals and 69 assists."

Located in south central Pennsylvania, York College offers more than 50 baccalaureate majors in professional programs, the sciences and humanities to its 4,600 undergraduate students. The college also offers master's programs in business, education and nursing, and a doctorate in nursing practice.
