Mira Costa Boys Beat Hawaii Baptist

The No. 6 nationally ranked boys volleyball team takes on No. 2 ranked Punahou School in Hawaii tonight. The game will be webcast for free.

The Mira Costa boys volleyball team [currently ranked No. 4 nationally in an ESPN poll] defeated Hawaii Baptist Academy [ranked No. 23 in the same poll], 25-18, 26-24, 25-19, Friday night, in the opening match of the Clash of the Titans tournament in Hawaii, according to scoringlive.com.

MCHS will take on Punahou School [ranked No. 2 nationally in the ESPN poll] tonight at 10 p.m. our time. The game will be webcast live so be sure to tune in to watch it.

In its contest Friday night, Punahou beat Corona Del Mar, winning the final three sets, 25-14, 26-24, 25-18, after dropping the first one, 25-22.

Mira Costa moved up from its initial No. 6 ranking in the poll to No. 5 last week and now is No. 4, thanks to its play last Friday against rival and No. 1 ranked Loyola High School.

The MCHS team is in Hawaii for a tournament during spring break. School is back in session on Monday.
