It's a Small Wave Equipment Day

What little surf Manhattan Beach had is fading away.

Waking up with the waves on Wednesday, I'm Surf Junkie Jeff with your Manhattan Beach Patch surf report. Well, unfortunately it looks like the latest round of energy is continuing to fade away. Yep, we're back to mostly small mode along this stretch of sand, so you'll want to get out the small wave equipment!

The conditions are starting off mostly clean and glassy, with some residual northwest windswell and some pretty minor south southwest groundswell in the water.

That recipe is making for some fairly soft sectiony lines, with a few fun shoulders. Most Manhattan Beach spots are pulling knee to thigh high waves, with the focal points seeing some waist high waves, with maybe a plus set.

Checking the tides, according to the National Oceanic Atmospheric Administration, at 10:55 later this morning it drops to a 0.4 low, which will have many breaks desperate for water and inconsistent mid to late morning. The tide then pushes back up to a 4.5 high at 5:49 this evening.

If you're going to get wet, break out at least a 3/2 fullsuit, with the water temperature averaging between 57 and 58 degrees. Good luck out there!
