Lumpy, Bumpy Surf

Last night's strong winds have created some sizable surf.

Good Tuesday morning surfers, I'm Surf Junkie Jeff with your Manhattan Beach Patch surf report. Well, all those whipping winds definitely left us with some pretty sizable surf, but unfortunately we're seeing some residual lump and bump on it, too!

Most spots have some texture or bump on the water early on. There's a combination of mostly holding northwest wind and groundswell in the water.

That recipe is offering some fast jumbled up semi-wally lines, with a few pick and choose corners. Most spots in Manhattan Beach are seeing waist to shoulder high waves, with those focal points pulling head high waves, with some overhead sets.

Taking a look at those tides according to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.  At 5:54 this morning it drained out to a 0.7 low which will have many breaks lacking water early on. The tide then pushes back up to a 3.6 high at 10:52 later this morning and then drops once again to a 1.3 low at 4:26 this afternoon.

If you're going to get wet, throw on that thicker fullsuit and maybe the booties, with the water temperature taking a dip and averaging between 55 and 56 degrees. See ya in the water!
