Mid to Late Morning Best Bet for Surfing Today
Some lump and bump on the water and wind conditions could deteriorate surf even more later today.
Good Tuesday morning surfers, I'm Surf Junkie Jeff with your Manhattan Beach Patch surf report. Well, we're seeing a decent amount of action, but those conditions aren't starting off very good!
There's already some bump on the surface, which is making the prospect of surfing a little less motivating. Taking a look at the waves, we're seeing some new northwest windswell and a just a tad of leftover south southwest energy in the water.
That recipe is offering some crumbly and bumpy lines, with a few workable corners. Most Manhattan Beach spots are seeing waist to chest high waves, with focal points of shoulder high waves, with maybe a couple plus sets.

Taking a look at the waves thanks to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, at 5:25 early this morning, it climbed up to a 4.0 high and then drains out to a 0.5 low at 12:07 this afternoon. Your best bet is probably sometime mid to late morning, providing the wind doesn't pick up.
If you're going to get wet, you'll want to wear at least a 3/2 fullsuit and possibly the booties, with the water temperature averaging between 57 and 58 degrees. See ya in the water!
