Baseball Boys Win Junior World Series Game

After losing its first three games in the series, the Manhattan Beach Little League Junior All Stars pull together to beat an Ohio team Wednesday. Next up in the tournament: an international team.

Trevor Franklin was the pitching star for the Manhattan Beach Little League Junior All Stars Wednesday, throwing for six innings and giving up just five hits and three runs (one earned) in his team's 8-3 victory over a Canton, Ohio team in the Junior World Series. The win marked the MB boy's first in the tournament, being played in Taylor, Michigan.

MB's bats came alive in the game. Trevor went three for four at the plate, Reese Alexiades and Ryan May each hit a double and Will Proctor had two RBIs. Will made an acrobatic play at shortstop to record the game's final out with the bases loaded.

Matt Beserra pitched the last inning and struck out one.
